Bad house guest pt.2
If you are reading this then I am assuming you read my initial post from yesterday elaborating on this frustrating reality I am currently enduring.
To answer a comment/question from yesterday: after I responded to my friend Amie (who is our house guest) about what she planned on eating for lunch and breakfast the next 10 days, she fibally agreed to let me and my husband take her to a grocery to pick up some essentials and snacks for herself. Phew!
But then the poor guest etiquette began again once I got home from work /:
My husband made dinner and after we served her a bowl of pasta and cheesy bread we all three sat in the living room and were flipping through the guide for something good to watch. Amie then shreeks and begs to watch the Dark Knight which was already about 30 min into the movie. We agreed to just watch it and let her have her way. No big deal. But after Amie finishes her pasta and bread, she grabs her phone, puts both head phones in and then proceeds to either play a game or go on YouTube. I then ask her, "Hey, mind if we change the channel now?" I look at her waiting for a response. She doesn't even look up due her headphones must be up loud, so I look at my husband and shrug. Then grab the remote to look through the channel listings.....then suddenly Amie snatches the remote and says, " Not fair, Scar, I chose this to watch!" I turned my head so hard and looked at her crazy. I said, " What's not fair is how rude you're being sitting here with your head phones on paying attention only to your phone after you insisted we all watch the Dark Knight. Please either take your headphones out and put your phone away, or I'm changing the channel." She said sort of embarrassed " Oh my bad, go ahead girl."
Then that was that. I actually got hot-headed over this event. And after one episode of Dance Moms I went to bed and haven't heard from her since 8:00ish last night.
I feel like her stay at my house is going to decintigrate our friendship entirely!!!! At this point I kind of don't care. I almost want to ask her if she can go to Italy early and report to the Navy base instead of stay with us until the 7th. Or maybe see if there's distant family she can stay with - anyone!
