Ovulation after tube removal?!?

Question

So was any body explained to about how ovulation and conception would work after losing a tube? Like will you only have half the chance due to you could ovulate from your ovary that has no tube?

My doctor said conceiving would not be lower. As when u ovulate the egg still can travel to the opposite tube. He also mentioned that sometimes u may ovulate from ur left ovary but the egg will travel to the right tube... This is when u have both tubes. I found this strange but he's the consultant....

You don't always ovulate left, right, left, etc. each month. And if you still have both ovaries and only one tube, like the previous poster said the egg can travel from one side to the other side where the tube is. I was told that having only one tube does not make it that much harder to conceive since you only need one tube. However, it's been a year since my ectopic and still not pregnant so we're seeing a specialist and going to have IUI this month :-) good luck!

I had my right tube removed due to a ruptured ectopic . In July got pregnant again in December unfortunately pregnancy attached in my abdomen ... point being you can still get pregnant your remaining tube picks up the slack of your missing tube I actually ovulated from my right side and my left tube picked it up and got fertilized

My surgeon explained that it's actually the remaining tube that moves over to collect the egg on the tubeless side - she said she'd seen it before in surgery. Pretty amazing how the body compensates! 
There's a lot of different statistics about fertility following tube removal - one of my doctors said 96% (ie 4% reduction )  another said 75%. Fertility is not halved though. 
After my first tube was removed, I got pregnant naturally 3 times within 16 months. if you've had a previous ectopic, you're more at risk of a second (scarred tubes, blocked tubes etc) so make sure you get a 6 week scan and are monitored early.

My doctor did not have to remove my tube, but before surgery he told me that if he had to it would only reduce my chances of conceiving by 1/2 of a percent. He said most people think if they lose a tube it cuts their chances in half, but that is not the case.

I am super confused and terrified of having another ectopic. The last one  landed me in ICU for 2 weeks after I lost 3pints of blood due to internal bleeding when our 7week blessing decided to obliterate my LFT. My Gynae assured me that loosing my LFT was no prob because the eggs will move over to the RFT? So after a year of trying he referred us to fertility which discovered an over active left ovary and a dormant right, put me on Clomid 100mg. That woke my left ovary up and on Day 12 scan my left ovary had 9+ follicles ranging 12mm to 18mm and my right had 2 but 18mm. We had sex 2 and 4 days before I ovulated and on ovulation day. Now 5 days to go before AF... Should I be worried about multiple?
