Second baby shower? So confused!

I'm 23yrs old& on child #2, my 2nd girl. Ive heard so many rumors (even within my family) on why u shouldn't have a second baby shower, or that it's only ok if it's a different gender than the first, or that's it's completely fine, or completely fine only if someone else hosts it, or only doing the registry at a store and that's it. Honest answers only, I'm confused and trying to figure out if I should have a baby shower for my 2nd girl. Thanks 4 any advice!!!
