Clots?

Question

Does anyone else get a lot of thick dark clots with their period with the IUD?  I have had mine for 8 years (paraguard) and the clots seem to be worsening as time goes on.

I was on depo then mirena, the first mirena was awesome. Second I gained weight I couldn't lose and had horrible acne. Dr thought it may have malfunctioned and over released. I had it removed. Had another child then got paragard. I hate having periods again, and they are very heavy and clotty for me with the para. But hormones aren't an option for me... Or babies. So this it is.

I have felt the same way but I attributed it to have 4 children and 4 different IUD's. My flow has ask ways been very heavy and with a lot of clots so idk if it's really the IUD
