Is it a good idea to date your friend?

Is dating your friend a good idea or bad idea. We've been friends since high school but known each other since 7th grade.

My husband and I have been friends for 15 years. We have been a couple for the last 6 years. We have a beautiful daughter together.  I say do what feels right.

Go for it. My best friend told me right before he moved to a different state that he was in love with me, of course I cried and said it back and we kissed but always regretted not acting on it or acting on it sooner. Don't live with regrets. Better to know that to wonder what if.

I married my best friend. In high school it's not a good idea to date a friend bc relationships come and go. Once you are mature and know what you want out of life of you can see a furry with that friend then go for it!

Im one who is torn bc i was friends with this guy for years and he always wanted to be more then that and i always said no bc he had dated a friend of mine. Well i was in a abusive relationship and got out of it and was done with men,my friend again wanted to get together and i hadnt talked or been friends with his ex in years so figured whynot,he always was there for me and he was a great friend and he wouldnt hurt me,we dated for a few months and got a place together shortly after broke up but still tried to be friends,a week later found out i was pregnant then a couple weeks after that i found out he had a new gf and he up and moved to texas. Good experience though is i was friends with another guy for years and for a few years drifted apart but a year and a half ago we connected again and now as of yesterday we have been married a year and i couldnt be happier, we had got pregnant and he stayed by my side through it all,through finding out our son most likely wouldnt make it to birth,through me giving birth to our son stillborn,his funeral,my grieving(which i still am),he stayed around for all the bad and he is a great father to our 3 living children.
