Metformin Help

Started taking metformin June 10th. I was prescribed 3 times a day but I have not been able to tolerate that dosage yet.  I am finally up to twice a day without running to the bathroom every time I eat but now I am having headaches.

I’ve noticed that if I don’t eat something every 2 hours, I feel a headache coming on. Anyone experienced this with Metformin?  If this doesn’t get better after this cycle I may just give up on it. I feel worse on it than I did off of it.
