Not trying to conceive

Hello, I was wondering if any of you knew when you started ovulating. I want to have sex with my boyfriend, (yes, we do have contraceptives,) but I want to know how I can tell I'm ovulating just to avoid all risks possible. I had my last period on July 18 and the one before that on June 13 so please let me know thank you
