Sleeping twins together or separately?

I have been planning to sleep my twin boys together in a pack n play next to my bed when they first come home and eventually move them to their own cribs. I like the idea of them sleeping together at first since they have been together for so many months in the womb. Now that I am so close to giving birth I am starting to get nervous about the SIDS risk. Has anyone else kept their twins together or is it just smarter to have them sleep separate?

My husband has a twin brother. My MIL said they wouldn't sleep if they weren't together. She said they held hands. How cute is that? Also, one of my husbands best friends also has a twin brother and they were the same. But they slept how they were in the womb. Head to foot. Their mom says even in middle school when they had separate rooms she would find one in the others room sleeping on the floor head to foot.

My MFM and my OB suggested that my twins co sleep in the same crib for a couple of months and said it has no effect on SIDS.

I'm having twin boys as well. I'm 23 weeks and 3 days. Mine will be sleeping together in a pack and play in my room and once our house is finished being built they will move to their room that they will share but they will have their own cribs. I'm going to try to keep them together as much as possible until mother instinct tells me it'll be best to move them apart. I think when you give birth and there here you'll just want them together like they are suppose to be. But whatever you decide will always be cause mother knows best!

My mother's friend slept her twins together until they started waking each other up fighting for the same space :-) I think I will do the same!

I think they should sleep together since their babies, once they get bigger that u should consider putting them in separate cribs!!

A friend had twins and hers sleep separately only bc they wake eachother up. A lot will depend on your twins. I wish I was having twins...I'd definitely try to keep then together!

My friend had her twins a few years ago and her girls she separated right away cause they moved around and sprawled out like crazy just depends on how they like to sleep once they are here
