Breastfeeding baby #2 when it didn't go well with baby #1
I had a terrible time breastfeeding my first child. My milk didn't come in for over a week leading to dehydration and jaundice in my son. About a week after that, I took a few days off from breastfeeding because my nipples were completely scabbed over and I was in so much pain. A lactation consultant said that pretty much doomed my milk supply. After that, he wouldn't take my breast and when I'd pump I'd only get about an ounce or 2 from each breast. I'd like to try again though with baby #2.
Did anyone have breastfeeding success with baby #2 after a miserable failure with their first?
