Will the dating scan be my longest appointment?

I went for my dating scan a couple of weeks ago and I was there for 2 hours because I also had to fill out my pregnancy notes there too and had blood pressure/weight checked.

I've heard that the booking/dating scan is the longest appointment you will have throughout your pregnancy and that the rest are pretty quick. Is this true?

I thought my anatomy scan was the longest. They took so many US measurements of the baby. It was great and everything but long.

Personally I think it Depends on your medical professionals. My dating scan took maybe 15minutes, as it was just an ultrasound. Where I live people fo to a radiology clinic or the hospital for ultrasounds & xrays etc. I've never seen a GP's office with their own machines. My care is shared between my local GP and the hospital maternity centre, where I see both a midwife & OB. None of my appointments thus far have been more than about 20 minutes. As far as my ultrasound appointments go, my anatomy scan was the longest, at about 45-60 minutes.

For the most part except for the 20 week anatomy scan which can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours. And the sugar testing. The first one takes an hour of you fail that one you have to be there for like 3 hours.

My first one was really long but bc they found an abnormality on my umbilical cord- everything is fine lol my son is almost two- I had to go more often to make sure he was growing and getting all his nutrients and thank God I had a normal full term pregnancy and delivery

The glucose test is the longest procedural visit, I would say the dating scan and visit wasn't really any longer than any other visit. Good luck!
