Why isn't it happening?

Im feeling a bit down today..a girl i know found out she was pregnant today. She started ttc way later then i had been trying, and now she's pregnant. She would only be about a week along or so..how would the test show positive already? I've been ttc for about 8 months now and ik m starting to feel hopeless and a bit worried..my family has always been pretty Fertile, so i just assumed it would happen for me sooner than later..... im so happy for her but its hard to show my excitement when inside im so envious.
