Low amniotic fluid? 1st tri!
My first OBGYN appointment was a couple weeks ago, so I was 8w2d I think. I was sweating badly from anxiety to know if everything was ok (I did IVF, and my fertility doc kept worrying me about my hCG levels, then the heartbeat). My doc took her first ultrasound pic and seemed pleased. I was on antibiotics for a UTI at the time. The heartbeat was great at 195 bpm. I keep looking at the pic, though, and there's so little amniotic fluid... My ultrasound two weeks prior at the fertility clinic showed a ton of fluid. Since I was sweating at the time, should I not worry? I looked up low amniotic fluid and have scared myself. I have been leaking, but it has an odor, so I assumed it's discharge or urine. Having low fluid this early (10w4d now) could mean birth defects, like with the kidneys... I was born with a kidney turned the wrong way... I really could use reassurance! I want to think my doc would have said something if she was concerned! Otherwise I am not small for the gestation period and have probably put on too much weight already. Should I check with my doc anyway?
