Implantation bleeding or Period?

I am 26 and my periods are ALWAYS on time, never early and never late. I ovulated about a week ago and my period is not due to come for another week. Last night I noticed I had some blood it was pinkish but not full blown red. This morning I woke up and it was a little heavier but not quite enough for a pad or tampon. I read lots about implantation bleeding and it seems like mine is heavier than just spotting but the time frame adds up. Like I said before my periods never come early especially not a whole week early. I am wondering if i should wait it out or take a test to see but I am afraid to get my hopes up seeing as it may just be my period. Has this happened to anyone else before ? Please help!!!! Opinions...?
