Doula or no doula
I had an unecessary cesarean with my first born and I would really like to avoid that this time around. I have an interview with a doula tonight but I'm wondering if I should get one if I plan on having an epidural. My mom says there is no point if I don't want a natural birth. It's not that I don't want one, it's that I have a very low threshold to pain. I will go as long as I can without just like I did with my son, but ultimately I get to a point where I can no longer breath through it and I need the epidural. I don't feel bad about that and I'm not looking for suggestions on hypnobirthing or the Bradley method, I'm just wanting to know if there's a point to having a doula when I will wind up with an epidural at some point.
