My choice?

Just how much say does the father have in where I have to deliver and how I do everything? I've read so much about trying things naturally and I really want to at least try but apparently everything that could go wrong WILL and I'm putting everyone in danger. How do I do this?

Have you been to any labor classes together? My husband was a little concerned about my choice to try a no drug, very "earthy" (as I put it) kind of labor and delivery. But after we went to classes together and he heard about how damaging some type of medicines can be and how great natural labor is for mom and baby he is all on board! I think sometimes hearing it from a "professional" instead of just me (as annoying as that is lol) really helped him.

My husband was skeptical about my wishes for a natural birth so we attended natural childbirth classes with a midwife at a birth center. I'll be delivering in a hospital, but he's now convinced that laboring at home as long as possible it the best option and is completely supportive of my desire to have minimal interventions. We learned lots of relaxation techniques and he's been a good sport. (He was not a good sport the first two weeks, but he eventually came around) Education is a wonderful thing. Men know nothing about child birth and I think hearing things from a neutral professional really helped.

He has a say so if he is in the baby's life , however the delivery is YOUR choice. He ain't going through it you are so you get all that say so. Once the baby is born then he has say just as much as you.
