Anyone else have or heard of Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome (OHSS)?

I am 8 weeks pregnant and was recently hospitalized and diagnosed with OHSS. Basically my ovaries are huge and covered in cysts and it's very painful, especially when the cysts burst. 😖😰 It probably won't go away for a few more weeks still and I am out of work on disability because of the pain/pain meds I have to take when it flares up. I am hoping someone else has any type of experience with this that can relate!

I also have had it, twice now, from my first IVF cycle. I am six weeks and I keep praying it doesn't come back. I had mild/moderate. It sounds like yours is severe since you were hospitalized. The bloating is so painful and awful. I hope you feel better soon!!

It can happen due to the hormones from IVF or assisted reproduction. You need to take in a lot of fluids and take it easy. Only time can deal with it. Congrats on your pregnancy!

I also have to say I just saw the chat room rules of not posting about being pregnant- I'm really sorry! I wish I had found this group sooner- in the last two years when TTC was so hopeless for us. Anyway, my apologies and prayers for healthy babies for everyone!
