Asthma medication safe?

Hi. I just found out I'm pregnant. Haven't had my first appointment yet but the excitement and my allergies have my asthma irritated. I feel like I may need my inhaler if it gets any worse but I don't know if it's safe. My inhaler is xopenex. If anyone knows the answer please let me know ASAP. Thanks in advance

I have server asthma and take Advair everyday. I was told that me not breathing is worse than anything my medication could do to me. I would definitely check with your doctor and ask if their is an alternative.

I take my xopenex inhaler every night, and things are going fine. My dr said it's perfectly safe

Check with your doctor, but they've all told me that asthma medicine doesn't harm the baby. I had to go to the ER because of my asthma being out of control. They gave me 3 albuterol treatments (on top of the 1 I did at home) and gave my prednisone to take for a week. A pulmonary doc put me on QVAR to control my asthma and I still have my rescue inhaler for emergencies. As long as you aren't on prednisone for an extended amount of time everything should be fine.
