Hey girls, please help!

When I had my ectopic in 2013 I never had a a doctor, I never knew I was pregnant at all! So this is my first time scheduling an appointment. I told the lady I hoped to be seen somewhat early since I'd had an ectopic but the earliest she'd let me is 8 weeks.

It just seems like if the pregnancy is ectopic by the time I get to 8 weeks, I'm gonna have discovered that! Potentially with dire consequences to my body if I don't go to the ER soon enough! :(

Should I try calling a different doctor? I live in the city so I have choices. Would another doctor see me sooner or is this just how it is??
