interracial relationships???

Just had my third date with I guy I really like. He's Mexican and I'm black and while on our previous dates we've gotten looks from people that are not to nice looking like what we're doing is wrong. I don't really see is as a big deal because my generation is really opened minded my parents were a little skeptical at first too they said they didn't want me to have to experience exactly what's happening now. Have any of u gone through something similar???
