Bottles?

My little one is going to have to go to daycare after 12wks, so will have to use bottles.  I'm really not sure what or how many I will need!  Any ideas?  We got the AVENT Natural glass gift set - two 8oz bottles, three 4oz bottles, with 3 newborn and 2 slow flow nipples - they are supposed to be petaled to mimic breast feeding.  It was $60 for the set!  I had no idea there were so many bottle choices, nipple choices, nipple flow rates, etc!  I thought glass would be easier to keep clean.  Seems like only three 4oz bottles would mean I would have to clean them every night - if that's even enough? Anyone have any insight?

Also I definitely think you need more than 3 - babies usually eat every 2-3 hours so if baby is at daycare or whatever while you're working that's easily 4 at once, if not more :)

I've heard great things from other moms about MAM brand and I also registered for Avent. I think it depends what the baby likes. I too will have to pump and send to daycare around 12-14 weeks.

My friends pediatrician recommended tommee tippy bottles so that's what we have on our registry. I think bottles are just one of those things that you need to figure out what your baby likes and go from there. Hopefully ours likes the ones we picked! Kind of unrelated, but I did read that if you are using pacifiers than they should be a different brand from whatever bottle you chose. Otherwise the nipples are similar and baby gets confused apparently...I don't know if there's actual proof though lol
