In law issues....

So I am planning a gender reveal party with the help of my SIL and my best friend. Well my SIL purchased something's for the party without me knowing, which turned out to not be the right color. So when I told her that I would pay her back for the things she purchased because they were not the right color I sensed that she became upset. She decided that she would no longer help with the party and would let me do everything so I could get "what I want." I love her ideas and appreciate her help but all I was saying was that I wanted a certain color scheme. Now I'm stressed and thinking of canceling the party all together. Was I wrong?
