Last name

My boyfriend and I had some problems so I came to my moms to stay for a while. We will either work things out or I will look for a place of my own at the end of the year. I doubt we will get married before the baby but I refuse to have a different last name than my child. I don't mind hyphenating the 2 names. Am I wrong? I haven't approached him with this yet.
