Breastfeeding another persons child?

Has anyone ever heard of this? Has anyone ever done it?

Ive done it. My friend was complaining about her son not latching properly, and i tried to have him feed from my breast and he latched on properly. We're childhood friends and our sons are couple of weeks apart, so itwasnt that big of a deal.

Anoher friend who had a preemie opted breastmilk than formula milk and she gets hers from milk donors

My colostrum  took 5 days to come in, so I gave my son my sister breast milk in a bottle. It was great

I've heard of it but a lot of dangerous diseases are spread through breast milk including HIV so unless it's from a milk bank that has tested it I wouldn't ever give my child someone else's breast milk.  Not that I think anyone would intentionally put a baby at risk but they could be carrying something and not know it...
