How long after dropping does labor start?

I'm 37 weeks and just noticed that my belly has sank further down into my pelvis. At my last appt, the doctor said I was beginning to dilate and my cervix was soft and baby's head was down.

My baby has been dropped since 28 weeks and I'm 36 now.... Soooo yeah... Haha

My doctor said my baby had definitely dropped at my 34 week appointment. That was two weeks ago and nothing going on here...yet. ☺️

Thanks you ladies!!! I went today and they plan to induce me at 39 weeks 4 days due to the baby measuring small. Idk why he's waiting until the week I'm due, but whatever. I'm just hoping she comes on her own before then. I'd rather have a natural progression than an artificial one.

My baby dropped at 33-34 weeks and her head is down in my pelvis. I'm now 37 weeks and 4 days and nothing has happened so it all depends.

I don't think there is a set time to tell you. It depends on baby and your body

Unfortunately it isn't an indication of when labor will start :/ neither are the results of the cervical checks which is why I decline them...they tell you nothing.
