Fifth disease

Ugh. So my son was diagnosed today with fifth disease. I'm trying not to panic as I know the worst is very rare for my baby, but it's so hard! Basically, fifth disease is a very mild illness that causes no harm to adults/children, but can cause stilbirth and fatal anemia in fetuses if a pregnant woman is exposed. It's rare, like 5-10% of those exposed, but with everything we've been through I'm so frustrated! I am going tomorrow for bloodwork that will hopefully show I am immune. They say it should show I am either immune, just exposed, or not exposed. Not sure what they do other than monitor if it comes back as exposed. 😥
