Morning after pill

Me and my boyfriend were having sex and the condom broke so I took the morning after pill, in the last two days I've felt horribly sick with bad cramps and I've also been really moody, is this normal? Does this mean the pill is working? Also when we had sex I was just finished my period if that helps
