Could 1 of you lovely ladies explain what Inc 1 in first st. Means? I tried looking it up and it's no help. Lol

I would knit into the front and back but that's just how I increase.

Inc usually means increase. So you would put an extra stitch in the first stitch, then continue with the directions. Or however you increase in knitting. I crochet, and the abbreviations are generally the same.

I mean, the pic is what the pattern is. It says row 1 knit. Row 2 Inc 1 st in 1st st. Knit to last 2 st. K2to.

It's hard to say without seeing the rest of the pattern...I would think it means include 1 as if to join your present work to your current.....?
