Is this normal?

I went to the er the other and found out I have bacterial vaginosis and a bladder infection. My temperature keeps spiking to 102 or going down to 96. Which  happened to me the last time I had a bladder infection..however my kidneys hurt so bad I can't lay on my back and it hurts to walk at times. I see my obgyn on monday but i was just wondering Is this a common thing with having both infections at the same time?

BV isn't going to cause a fever. It sounds like you have a kidney infection too and that can be extremely painful with fever present. Did they give you antibiotics? Try Tylenol every 4hrs for your fever. Motrin/Advil/Ibuprofen every 6 hrs will help with pain and inflammation

Please go back to the ER. This happen to me. I never had a UTI before so I didn't know I had one until it was to late. When I got the hosptial I had a high fever chills and I felt horriable. Turn out the infection went to the kindeys.
