Do all newborns cluster feed?

Day 2 and looks like Thalia is a nighttime cluster feeder. Do all newborns do this? Or other people's baby? It's intense! Glad I have extended support folks at home.

My LO is 2 weeks today. Cluster fed right as the docs said - the whole second night in hospital. But then again at 7 days, which lactation said could be a growth spurt! And she did it again just yesterday afternoon- every hour vs the 2-3 we were doing well with. I think your baby knows what it needs and I've been told just put her to the breast and that you can't over feed a breast fed baby. Just hard for us mamas with sore boobs and who would like to get stuff done!

I would say yes cause my hospital even gave a handout about it because it's so common and they didn't want parents freaking out.

I think they tend to just before a growth spurt. It should get easier :) we are at 10 days old and I've had 3 nights with cluster feeds and the other nights he goes about 3-4 hours between.

Lily ate and then slept a lot when she was newborn (I was on a lot of pain meds though). She is cluster feeding now though. I've read it's perfectly normal for some babies though.

Mine clustered feed a lot until my milk  came in. Once that happened the ped wanted him on a 3 hr schedule.
