Strapless dress to church?

My boyfriend asked me to go to church with his family last minute and all I have with me is a strapless dress. It's dressy and goes to right above my knees. I don't go to chuck usually and don't know what is considered acceptable attire. Lol, help!

I would recommend just asking him how formal his particular church is. I've visited churches all over that spectrum, but at my current one even the pastor wears jeans.

If you want to be PERFECTLY SAFE you could wear that dress with like a cardigan or shawl or something. It's nice to be relatively covered up if you can manage it.

If not, please don't stress too much! If people are all up in your business because they don't like your dress, THEY'RE the ones not acting right.
