Ttc#1 ovulation test question

This is my husband and I ttc #1 im 25 him 26. We have been trying for 7 months. Each month I get my hopes up and it sucks each month to find out it no baby. Iv never tried ovulation tests and im wondering what are the success rate for using them. I use digital clearblue pregnancy test bc I hate guessing if theres another line or not...but the digital ovulation test are like $ 40 for only a few. And I wouldnt even know how to read them if the ovulation tests werent digital...so im wondering if its even worth getting them. Iv only been using this app one full cycle so far and my af came one day ahead from what the app said....so I feel like this app is correct on when im fertile...so im just wanting what ppl think.
