Does anyone know if doxycycline impairs fertility

Just got prescribed Oracea to treat my Rosacea and was wondering if anyone has taken doxycycline and was able to conceive afterwards

I'm a pharmacist and if I were you, I would discuss this with my physician. I know that you're not supposed to take when pregnant but what if you conceive and don't know it? Better to be on the safe side.

I actually think some recent studies suggest it improves fertility for those who take it right before they get pregnant and who have suffered previous losses. Best of luck to you!

I'm not sure if it impairs fertility, but I was on it before we started trying to get pregnant. My dermatologist suggested that as soon as we do start trying to get pregnant for me to let him know so I can stop taking it due to the potential side effects it at have when you do get pregnant. He prescribed Erythromicin which is also safe to take while pregnant.
