Help... scared

Thursday my doctor called me to tell me my pregnancy test came out negative. The next day my AF came, I had really bad cramping and a heavy flow, today my RE called me to tell me the last I did today have a high hCG level which means I'm pregnant. Now I'm really scared As I am still cramping and bleeding anyone else going through this? Re says it's normal sometimes I just have to keep taking my progesterone meds
