NuvaRing opinions?

Hi! I'm 16 years old, and I just started the NuvaRing today. I'm a huge hypochondriac and I'm really afraid of effects the ring might have on me, if any... I'm just curious what everyone's general opinion on the ring is. I don't really want to be on birth control, but I'm extremely sexually active and I worry too much to trust just using condoms. Thanks!

First few months I loved it but it eventually it totally cut out my sex drive and made sex hurt, even when I took it out during sex. I never had a problem with it falling out in the year and a half I've been on it. I always joke with my fiancé that how it works as birth control is that it makes me not want to have sex haha. Everyone reacts differently to it, and I've decided that anything that messes with my hormones isn't good for my body because I'm very sensitive to it. Hope it works for you!

I love it! Keeps me very regular and light. Easy enough to keep track of when to remove and start a new one. Once a couple months it sometimes will try and slip out but never that it's been a huge problem.

The only problem I had with it is that it disappeared once. I to this day have no idea what happened to it. I even went to the gyno they said it wasn't there but I never remember it coming out. Besides that I liked it. And it didn't bother my ex.
