I have the Nexplanon (birth control implant) in my upper arm, and I was wondering if I got a tattoo, around that same area on my arm, if it would effect the implant, or me in any way? I could get it on the other arm in the same spot, but I prefer getting it on my left, where the implant is. My doctor said getting a tattoo on it would be a bad idea, but I want it around the same spot, just a few inches away from it. Should I just get the tattoo on the other arm, or would I be okay with it on the arm with the implant?
