Smoking while breast feeding?

IS it okay to smoke while breast feeding? I do not plan on it, but I smoked before becoming pregnant and if I feel the urge to smoke after she is born, I do not want to harm her through breast milk...

Why breastfeed your baby if it's gonna be filled with nicotine and other harsh dangerous chemicals? Then the risks outweigh the benefits by far

Noooo😭 smoking is just as bad for you as for the baby. Please just don't continue this bad habit. I smoked before getting pregnant and I quit the moment I seen that line. Trust me you will feel so much better after you stop. I know I feel the difference of smoking. I'm glad I stopped when I did. I started smoking at 15 and now I'm 19 and I haven't smoked for 9 months and it's been so good. Wishing you the best honey 😘

I myself have been craving and wanting to smoke since June when I first found out I was pregnant! I stopped everything all together; but I myself am planning on Breastfeeding and sometimes treat myself with A little bit of Wine and a ciggerates. I know a mother who just had her baby and she will get up in the morning pump and then smoke right after wards you can time it through out the day and with drinking alcohol you don't need to go way way over board like completely drunk! But I myself am planning on doing this when I have my baby and I have a strict way in my head that I'm gone do it though I ain't gone be going crazy with it.... hey I don't think it's going to hurt why not please yourself at home with a little ciggerate a day or little tiny bit of Alcohol when you've waited out so many months and being strong then life throughs stress on you; but it's up to you

My friend did but was very stric about when she smoked. She wouldn't smoke at least 2 hours before she knew she would breastfeed.

My breastfeeding councilor told me that the chart goes #1  non smoking breastfeeding healthy mom  #2 a breast buddy or some one that is willing to share milk with you #3 smoking breastfeeding mom and then  #4 formula........because even if ur smoking the baby still gets the boost from your breast milk for the immune systems and all the other benefits still out weigh resorting to formula where your baby gets absolutely no boost and no benefits because it is a men made produce and it is not living where as breast milk is living and gives them boost all the way until adulthood
