Should I get a blood test?

I had a positive test on Saturday night, then a negative on Sunday FMU. I was supposed to start my period on Monday but didn't. I've been spotting since yesterday and my mother in law thinks I should go get a blood test. TTC my 1st so I'm not sure how all this works.
