Could I be pregnant?

My SO and I had unprotected sex on the 28th. It's 12 days later and 5 days before my period and the pregnancy test was negative. My CM is thick, white and creamy, I'm feeling unusually emotional like I would before my period, and my face is very broken out. Is there a chance I'm pregnant and the test just isn't picking it up yet? I've never been pregnant before so I have no clue what to expect or what to look for.
