Lil pet peeve

Does anyone else hate how on TV shows the woman JUST found out she's pregnant, the dr gets her right in, she has an abdominal ultrasound and she sees a baby and hears the heart beat? Like I'm sorry that's not how any of this works.... what dr does an abdominal ultrasound at 6-8 weeks and have there be a baby looking baby in there? I realize that not everything in tvs or movies is real, so I'm not sure why this bothers me so much....
