VBAC or 2nd C-Section? So stressed!

Question

Has anyone here attempted or been successful with VBAC? My head is spinning, trying to weigh the risks of either option. Ideally, I'd love to be able to do a VBAC, but all I can think is "what if?"

I don't know anyone who's been through this. I feel like it would really help to hear from women who have been through it or are working through the decision now themselves.

I feel your pain! Im trying to decide if i wanna do a vag birth or another c-section. Do i wanna have a scar and pain again. Or do i wanna risk tearing lol.

I had a emergency c section with my first 16 months ago, my due date my little one will be 22 months, I'm trying for a vaginal birth but if it ends in a c section atleast we tried naturally :)))

I'm in the same boat as you- I spoke to my midwife with these concerns and she booked me an appointment with a specialist in a couple of weeks who will review my specific situation, go over all the options in detail then recommend a way forward. Really looking forward to this to put my mind at ease.

I just opted for a second c-section because I had such a good experience with the first one and I will most likely require one this time and my doctor was completely happy with that decision.

I'm in the same boat. All I know is they will monitor your very closely and you will not be induced unless something happens. Very confusing :/ I had a terrible first c-section recovery so anything is better than that for me with #2.

My friend had a super successful all natural vbac with her second, and her baby was 9lb 15oz!! She was also induced with pitocin because she did happen to go past her due date. She said she would take a natural birth any day over a c section. She also happens to be a l&d nurse herself.

I think I'm leaning towards VBAC right now. I'm doing my best to get in shape and be healthy (as my health is right now, it's somewhat of a risk factor for VBAC). If I feel like I'm at a good point before baby's due date then I'll attempt the VBAC, if not then I may just schedule the c-section and play it safe.
