Need help asap girls !?

For some reason I'm not able to post the picture of the test I just took but I need help figuring it out. When I first took the test the whole strip was bright pink for 30 minutes so I set it down and got my kids dressed when I came back in the room there is a very very dark second line it's dark dark red. I've never had a test take that long to clear so I don't know whether I should trust it. It's one of the cheapest but I know the $0.88 store test are pretty reliable. I'm two days late for my period. I don't know whether to call my boyfriend and tell him I have a positive test or if this is a fluke. :/
