This post is for women who regret their abortions, I've had an abortion and delt with serious depression until I found a way to forgive myself and I'd like to share it with anyone in my shoes.
I suffered extreme regret and sadness for years.
Recently I heard a quote
"Forgiveness is giving up the hope that the past could've been different."
To me, it means not going back in your mind and replaying the situation thinking "what if I had/hadn't done this."
This idea is something that is helping me with my healing process (that's lasted for years.) Im sharing it, hoping it may help someone else.
Abortion experience is NOT a one size fits all thing, I hope my post doesn't offend women who don't regret their abortion. We all have very different reactions to it.
