Should I be waking up my baby to eat?

Question

My baby will be 8 weeks Monday. I used to wake her up to feed every 2-3 hours before she turned a month. Now she usually wakes up on her own just in time for her feeding. However, there are times like today where she sleeps for 4 hours straight. She fell asleep at 8pm and it's now 11:55pm and she's still asleep. 
Normally she sleeps through the night with ou 1 feeding around 4am. Just wondering what everyone else is doing :)

I wouldnt wake a sleeping baby. If they are doing enough wees/poos they are fine to go longer. My baby just went 6hrs between feeds at night they will wake if hungry. Also she is 8 weeks today

Right now your baby needs the longest stretch of sleep possible to help them grow and develop, so I would not ever wake them. They may eat more frequently during the day like my little man does to make up for it.

Our pediatrician said we only needed to wake our daughter up for feedings until she was back to her birth weight, so we already stopped doing that when she was only a week old. At first she would still wake up every few hours but after only a few days she started sleeping longer. She is 8 weeks now and sleeps 8 hours through the night. It's pretty awesome for us! Now durning the day I will sometimes wake her up just because with her skipping night feedings I want her to get enough overall. As long as your baby has enough diapers and gains weight, it's totally fine to let them sleep. Enjoy it! 😊

My pediatrician says don't wake baby for feedings! Especially at night! They'll wake when they're hungry.
