Confusing!!

So my doctor has me on Femara 2.5 mg days 3 -7. I thought that I start af this past Friday so I called in to get my prescription. However, af is being weird and it's mostly brown...I have heard before that day 1 isn't until you have red blood. Should I start my Femara on Sunday like I originally was going to? Not sure what to do.

Also last month I got a positive ovulation test on day 21 BUT my bloodwork (done the same day) came back negative... :-/ so frustrating. Any ideas ladies??
