How long did it take for your period to return after miscarriage?

I had a natural miscarriage on August 23 and am still waiting for my body to get back to normal. I'd like to hear how long it took all of you to get back on your regular cycle. Please comment below if you'd like to share more detail on how long you waited to start trying again.

My miscarriage started on August 4th. I started my period for the first cycle 4 days ago. My normal cycle was every 28 days. Please expect the worst with your first returning period. I can honestly say that it's been like miscarriage all over again. An before the question is asked no I wasn't pregnant again and yes I'm 100% positive. But this period has been horrible. Large tissue passing on an off bleeding and horrible cramps along with bad lower back pain.

I had a D&C for my MMC on 3/27.  Went weekly, then biweekly for HCG draws to check that my levels were dropping. My last blood draw was 7/1.  My AF then arrived 3 weeks after that. That's nearly 4 months of waiting. Definitely not normal by any means.

My miscarriage was July 3, 2014, I didn't get my period until early October 2014. So about 8+ weeks. Then again, I have PCOS, so weird periods are par for the course with me.

I am so sorry for your loss! My period started exactly four weeks after my MC ended. Unfortunately, that period was horrible. It lasted for 55 days and the bleeding was so heavy at times I had flashbacks to my MC which was devastating. I was irregular before the MC though, so that may have played a part.

My first period after my last miscarriage was 5 week after the miscarriage started and 3 weeks after it ended.

Took me 5 weeks  +1 day. Although I usually only have moderate bleeding and no cramps on my period but this time it's really heavy, I need to change every half hour and I get really bad cramps I'm hoping it's just my body adjusting to the changed.
