Period question?

I've never ever been late for my period. It has changed somewhat after not being on the Nexplanon implant, which I took out in April. But anyway, I've been having a lot of brown discharge before and after my period, but this time, I have no period and just the brown spotting! My fiance and I are ttc at the moment so I have a chance of pregnancy. I'll just be extremely upset if I'm not, because I've never had a period like this before. The brown discharge is only enough for a panty liner. I just want a normal period or pregnancy! What can this be? I was supposed to start on the 11 th. And I have no cramps,( on my period I usually get a ton) just super exhausted. I am waiting a few days to test just in case period comes.

Any ideas?
