Does anyone know?

Is it possible to be pregnant with twins and not catch it on the Doppler at almost 15 weeks or ultrasound at almost ten weeks?

My doctor told me that his sister in law had two ultrasounds and they didn't catch her twins until her anatomy scan at 20 weeks. He also checked me again to make sure I only had one baby (for no other reason than to be thorough) at my 13 week appointment after having already checked at 9 weeks. I think it's possible, but I'm not sure how common it would be. Do you think you're having twins?

We asked our dr this at 14 weeks what the chances were that when he had our 9week scan if a twin was hiding. She said it is very rare and the case of a hidden sibling is usually the case with triplets or more. 
Now we did have another scan at 15w   And still the one lol.

My sister in law was 28 weeks and they only caught that they were twins because her water broke and they did an ultrasound. Her grandmother was in delivery and delivered one baby, the Dr thought she had a cyst, so they took her into surgery to remove it, but she delivered a second baby. That's not as common these days because of doplers, but still possible.
