So Constipated! Is it safe??

I'm 13 weeks and haven't been able to "go" in 2 days! I've tried cranberries and other foods that would normally make me use the restroom. So, is it safe to take a laxative??

Fish oil pills help a lot! Plus the omegas are great for the baby. I take two a day and did through my whole first pregnancy. They had me on iron pills for my first LO.

I'm anemic and I'm always constipated. It's horrible! I drink coffee if it gets really bad but every day I take benefiber. It helps a lot! 💩

Just talked to my doctor and he suggested Miralax and said it was perfectly safe to take laxatives during my 2nd trimester. Thank goodness! But will be considering benefiber :)

Glycerin suppositories work well   And Ive used meralax the doctors told me that it was perfectly safe

Colace and putting a step stool underneath you when on the toilet helps :-)

For constipation, my doctor suggested milk of magnesia, senkot, Metamucil, konsyl, or colace. I haven't tried any of them, I just eat frosted mini wheats and drink apple juice and I'm better within an hour or two.

Try pear juice. Coffee also seems to work as well.
