Complete placenta previa-anyone have any experience?

Melanie
I was shown that my placenta is completely covering my cervix at my 18 week anatomy scan. Which means a c section if it doesn't move and risk of bleeding during pregnancy. I've heard there is a high chance of it moving up as I get bigger from some people and others who say complete usually doesn't. My midwife said I don't need to be on bed rest or not have sex at this point...I've also heard mixed things on that.

I had it complete like you at my 12 week and my doctor didn't put me on any restrictions. I go Friday for my anatomy scan and to see if it moved. Good Luck!

let us know if you remember if it moves or not!

Usually with a complete, it won't move any because it's implanted on your cervix and your cervix doesn't stretch when pregnant, your uterus does. But anything is possible! I've been told I have a partial previa which I hope and pray moves!

that makes sense...there are so many conflicting opinions! wish i could know what to plan for. and have you had any bleeding to prompt the bedrest? I'm a little nervous that i have no restrictions. thanks for your reply!
