Preparation For College!

I'm a junior in high school and I'm excited about going to college! I'd love for you guys' advice for me, any is great! Also, I plan on getting a my own apartment ($530 - $ 650), living with a known roommate, or either getting into student housing and living with 2-3 other people ($549 - $594). I'm doing my best to avoid dorm rooms because of various reasons. What do you guys think of my living plans so far?

Btw: the apartments I've looked at have great reviews and are 1-10 minutes away from campus. Also I will have a job by then and I do plan on getting a job soon
